In the introductory webinar of our series on 'Trading
Culture', we overviewed the three phases and nine parts of of a process
designed to help you as a trader:
- Define and design your own 'best fit' trading process, and
- Develop and refine your process into an invaluable support
tool for your trading and growth as a unique individual.
The Process, as
we called it, functions as a silent
facilitator to help you align who you are with what you do and how you
make decisions, solve problems, and manage change.
In our
experience, the application of the Process is most effective
in helping you quantify your trading
culture. That development begins with the construction of a
foundation based on your values and core beliefs, your purpose and
mission, your goals and objectives, and your true present position.
This webinar addressed those topics as well as ideas to help
you own the Process.
Specifically,
Phase I - Priciples, the General Truths about
Ourselves, focuses on:
- Your Values,
exploring several ideas and approaches
to defining, clarifying, understanding, and living congruently with
them.
- Your Goals,
Vision, and Purpose, looking at your 'ideal'
vision, your long-term and short-term goals, the different types of
goals and the importance of balance, as well as how objectives can be
used as checkpoints to measure your progress in achieving your goals.
- Your Present
Position, as it relates to your actual
strengths and weaknesses, your assets and liabilities, and your
potential opportunities and obstacles.
