First, let us restate WindoTrader Blue's Purpose, which consists of three inter-related parts:
-
To enhance your ability to interpret Market Profile displays.
-
To adapt to you and put the power of configuration in your hands.
-
To provide flexibility and extensibility so you can effectively manage ongoing changes in your trading and the market.
Why Blue is Different
With any new software, there is a learning curve while users learn that particular software's methods for performing typical functions, e.g. how to change the 'up color' on a candle, the background color of a chart, or how to add an indicator to a chart. Typically this requires consulting a user's manual, the help function of the software, or the support section of the software website, and then searching for whatever action you are trying to perform. It also usually entails navigating to a menu selection such as "Configuration," which typically displays a tabbed dialog from which you can navigate to a particular area where you are presented with an array of parameters you can configure - with titles that may or may not be intuitively obvious.
WindoTrader Blue alters that entire approach from the beginning to the end. Rather than consulting an external source of information such as help files, manuals or websites, the user consults the software directly. Once it becomes obvious what steps should be taken, the user then interacts directly with the chart itself at the source of the guidance information.
For example, wherever the user is in the software, it will present them with options that are available for whatever the user's cursor is near. Often this is in the form of graphical buttons with tool tip overlays that explain the button purposes if the graphic is not clear to the user. The user may simply click to interact with the button to execute that particular action. If the user wishes to modify properties that pertain explicitly to an item, they may double click the items to cause the chart's property manager to become available and display that item's parameters.
Most trading software users become proficient with their software by memorizing countless sequences of steps to perform each particular task that they use. However, with WindoTrader Blue, a trader gets to know the software's principles by learning how to perform desired functions. If the trader understands the principles underlying the software's design, the amount of information required to be retained by the user to be proficient with WindoTrader Blue is significantly reduced, as opposed to the many other existing trading software products available.
WindoTrader Blue‘s ongoing development process continually strives to simplify the trading process as well as make the steps to perform those actions intuitive, so that you, the trader, can focus more on your trading and less on learning all of the techniques required to use a new gadget.
